Meet Recap

Saint Joseph Academy had five swimmers qualify for and compete in the Northeast Classic on Saturday and Sunday. 58 teams made up the strong field of teams. Freshman Maddy Kelly qualified for Sunday’s final in the 50 freestyle and won the bonus final heat in a time of 24.65. She finished 17th overall in the event.

SJA also had two relay teams that competed. The 200 medley relay team of Maddy Kelly, Paola Colon, Rachel Strick and Ally Sheehan) set a new school record with a time of 2:00.12 to finish in 18th place. The Jaguars also had an entry in the 200 freestyle relay (Rachel Strick, Ally Sheehan, Kassidy Gartin, Maddy Kelly) which finished 22nd in a time of 1:48.62.
