The Saint Joseph Academy swimming and diving program advanced eight students to the district competition after diving sectionals on Monday and swimming sectionals on Saturday.

On Monday at the diving sectionals at Oberlin College, SJA junior Brittany Miller placed 18th in the diving competition which advances her to Tuesday’s district diving meet at Bowling Green.

In the sectional swimming meet on Saturday at Cleveland State, the Jaguars advanced seven swimmers to the district meet.  The highlight of the day for SJA was a first-place finish and a sectional record for freshman Maddy Kelly in the 50 freestyle (24.38).  Kelly also moved on individually with her 5th place finish in the 100 backstroke.
