Freshman Maddy Kelly Earns First-Ever SJA Berth To State Swim Meet

Saint Joseph Academy freshman swimmer Maddy Kelly (pictured left on the podium) became the first Jaguar swimmer in school history to qualify for the state on Saturday at Bowling Green State University.  Competing in the district swim meet, Kelly took home a district title and set a personal best and school record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.04.  She also will qualify to the state meet in the 100 backstroke.  Her time of 56.91 was also a personal best.

The state swim meet will take place at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton on Friday and Saturday.
