SJA Cross Country State-Ranked in Preseason Poll

The Saint Joseph Academy cross country team, fresh off its team trip to the state meet in 2016, will enter this season state-ranked.

In the pre-season poll released on Thursday by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (OATCC), the Jaguars received 75 votes which ties them for 14th in the Division 1 state rankings.  SJA and Twinsburg are tied for the 14th spot.

As the Jaguars begin their season next weekend, they already have their sites set on the postseason.  SJA is once again in a loaded district.  The Jaguars will compete in the Medina district which features five schools listed in the state’s preseason poll:

Medina – 8th
Brunswick – 13th
SJA – T-14th
Shaker Heights – 21st
Medina Highland – 25th
