Kate coaching award

Saint Joseph Academy head volleyball coach Kate Latkovic has been named as a “Coaches Achievement Award” winner from the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association (OHSVCA).  Latkovic is one of three winners from all Division 1 coaches across the state.  In addition, she will serve as a head coach in the Division 1 All-Ohio All-Star game to be played on November 19.

During the All-Ohio voting process, which is made up of OHSVCA members, coaches select fellow coaches they perceive to be of high standards. The votes are then tabulated and the coach with the most are named Coach of the Year. The next three coaches based on voting total are then named Coaches Achievement Award winners.

Latkovic will receive her award at the annual banquet and OHSVCA All-Star Match in Wooster on November 19.

The third-year Jaguars head coach has the led SJA to a school-record 24-3 record this season as they have advanced to the Division 1 Final Four on Thursday.  In her three seasons at SJA, Latkovic has a record of 67-15 (.817) and has led the Jaguars to three district titles, two regional titles and two Final Four trips.
