The Northeast Ohio FastPitch Softball Coaches Association (NEOFSCA) has selected Saint Joseph Academy junior center-fielder Ronain Heath, Honorable Mention All-Ohio and First-Team All District. Ronain was 1 of 5 players selected to the NEOFSCA First Team -All-District Team. Also, Ronain becomes the first Jaguar softball player to make the NEOFSCA 1st Team and All-Ohio Team since the fast-pitch program began in 1999.
This season, Ronain helped lead the Jaguars softball team to the winningest season in program history with 19 victories which included a sectional championship win over Strongsville. Individually, Ronain had a fantastic season as the Jaguar’s lead off hitter batting (.528) with a (.598) on base percentage as well as breaking three school records including stolen bases in a season (48), runs scored in a season (44) and most singles in a season (41). Ronain’s best performance of the season came against rival Magnficat at Akron Firestone Stadium on April 24th as she collected (3) hits, (3) stolen bases and made an outstanding running catch in centerfield.
In addition, SJA senior Maddie Kimble was named Honorable Mention All-District.
