Girls Varsity Indoor Track, Girls Varsity Track · Morgan Named North Coast League MVP; Magill Named Coach of the Year

Saint Joseph Academy sprinter Haley Morgan has been selected as the North Coast League’s Track & Field Most Valuable Athlete for 2018.  The junior was selected at the NCL Track & Field coaches meeting on Sunday morning.  In addition, SJA first-year head coach Joe Magill was selected as the Coach of the Year by his fellow coaches.

At the North Coast League meet on May 4, Morgan helped lead the Jaguars to the Blue Division title as she won three events while finishing second in a fourth event.  Morgan won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and was a member of the winning 4×200 relay (along with Timmia Crayton-Prioleau, Maura Jordan and Grace Trepczyk).  She also finished second in the 400 meter run.

In his first season as the head coach at SJA, Magill guided the Jaguars to a first-place finish at the NCL meet.  The Jaguars scored 151 points while second-place Hoban finished with 97.  The Jaguars won eight events at the conference meet.
