Girls Junior Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Mark Koehler Named Head Soccer Coach

Saint Joseph Academy is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Mark Koehler as the Head Coach of the Jaguars’ soccer program.

Mr. Koehler has been a part of the Academy’s soccer community for the past three seasons, serving as the Junior Varsity (JV) Head Coach. His teams have posted a record of 32-11-4 during that time and he has helped develop players at the JV level to be ready for varsity action.

“In his time at Saint Joseph Academy, Coach Koehler has provided our student-athletes with an excellent experience that has focused on personal growth and development both on and off the soccer field,” stated Athletic Director Mr. John Manuszak. “His ability to connect with our students and to be a positive, outgoing, and consistent leader for our soccer program will put our student-athletes in a position to be successful. While at the Academy, he has demonstrated his commitment to our mission and we look forward to all that his program will accomplish.”

Prior to his arrival at Saint Joseph Academy, Mr. Koehler served as the Junior Varsity girls’ soccer coach at Rocky River High School from 2014-16 and Magnificat High School in 2012 and 2013.

Mr. Koehler is also an active club soccer coach, currently coaching at Upper 90 FC and Bay Soccer Club.

Mr. Brent George and Mr. Chris McNally, who have served in assistant coaching roles for the Jaguars for the last three seasons, will remain on Mr. Koehler’s coaching staff.

Mr. Koehler and his wife, Deneen, reside in Avon and have five children: Wyatt, Macy, Grady, Charlotte and Gabby.
