Saint Joseph Academy cross country runner Annie Allen has advanced to the state meet once again. The junior will be making her third straight appearance at state after she finished 6th in Saturday’s OHSAA Division 1 regional meet in Boardman. She finished in a time of 19:28.75 on a slow, muddy course.
The Jaguars as a team just missed qualifying for state as they finished in 8th place – the top 7 teams advanced to state.
Junior Amanda Keim was 35th followed by Danica Hruby (58th), Carlee Blankenship (85th) and Emma Hvizdos (87th) who scored for the Jaguars. Marie Musser (109th) and Elizabeth Starck (126th) also ran at regionals for the Jaguars. There were 190 runners in the Division 1 race.
Congratulations girls on a great season and good luck to Annie at state!
