Girls Varsity Crew · Crew Finishes First at HOTC Regatta

The Saint Joseph Academy Crew opened the 2019-2020 racing season this past weekend at the 24th Annual Head of the Cuyahoga Regatta in downtown Cleveland. The team had 14 entries in this year’s regatta and finished first overall against 21 other women’s high school teams. The team also had two crews of Alumnae from the classes of 2012 through 2019 race. The Novice Crew competed well in their first-ever regatta earning a silver medal in the Novice 8+ event. The day was punctuated by both a sweep of the Second Junior 4+ event and gold medal performances by the Second Junior 4+ (Anya Zurawski ‘20, Kaelyn Nelson ‘20, Adriana Gadd ‘20, Catie Egan ‘20, and coxswain Sarah Gallo ‘20) and the Second Junior 8+ (Molly Griffin ‘20, Libby Fox ‘20, Kyleigh Streeter ‘21, Carrie Petters ‘20, Isabel Stevens ‘21, Nora Dickens ‘20, Mary Gassman ‘22, Nora Roche ‘22, and coxswain Cailee Rockas ‘20)

The team travels to Pittsburgh, PA on Sunday October 6th to compete in the Head of the Ohio Regatta.
