Saint Joseph Academy 6th 210

The Saint Joseph Academy cross country has advanced to the OHSAA Division 1 state meet thanks to a 6th place finish on Saturday in the regional meet in Boardman. The Jaguars finished with 210 points to advance.

This will mark the 12th time that the Jaguars will compete as a team at the state meet. They qualified last year, where they finished 8th. The Jaguars also made full team appearances in 2017, 2016, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2002, 2001 and 2000.

On Saturday, freshman Erin Hvizdos led the way finishing 24th in a time of 20:28. Sophomore Sarah Scott was 30th, followed by sophomore Ali Blouch (32nd) and junior Carlee Blankenship (54th).
