The Saint Joseph Academy cross country turned in one of the best performances in school history on Saturday as the Jaguars ended their season with an 8th place finish at the OHSAA Division 1 state meet. It marked a tie for the second-best finish at the state meet in 11 appearances behind only the 2002 team which finished fourth overall and the 2004 team which was also 8th.
Senior Annie Allen finished her incredible SJA cross country career with an 18th place finish to earn All-Ohio honors. With her finish, she becomes the first four-time All-Ohio athlete in school history as she also earned All-Ohio honors in 2018 (17th), 2017 (21st) and 2016 (16th).
Fellow senior Amanda Keim ended her SJA cross country career on a high note as she posted a time of 19:21 to finish 61st in her final race at SJA while junior Danica Hruby was 97th, freshman Ali Blouch was 112th and senior Marie Musser finished her final race at SJA in 19:57. Carlee Blankenship and Emma Hvizdos also ran for the Jaguars at the state meet and gained valuable experience for the future.
