The Saint Joseph Academy soccer team had its historic season end on Thursday evening. The Jaguars, playing in their first district final in school history, fell to #3-seeded Brunswick 3-0.
The Blue Devils scored in the 13th minute but the Jaguars hung tough and went to the second half down 1-0. With 21 minutes left in the second half, Brunswick was given a penalty kick and converted to go ahead 2-0. In the game’s final minute, Brunswick once again received a penalty kick to make the final score 3-0.
The SJA loss ended a season that saw the Jaguars reach their first district championship game in school history. The Jaguars also set a school record for wins on the season to finish at 12-5-3.
