The Saint Joseph Academy soccer team won its postseason opener 12-0 over Bedford High School on Monday night at St. Ignatius High School.

With the win, the Jaguars advance to take on #7 seeded Midview High School on Thursday night. The game will be played at Midview High School with a 6:00 p.m. start time.

The Jaguars jumped in front of the Bearcats early on, with Ella Maher ’22 scoring a goal within the first 30 seconds of the match. Shortly there after, the rest of the team followed suit, pouring in seven more goals before halftime.

Junior Maggie Maline opened up the second half with a goal of her own and then senior Georgia Popovic-Ita found the back of the net off of a beautiful pass from Gracie Dzurko ’22 making the score 10-0.

Sophomore Aspen Lockner scored late to decide the final margin.
