Crew Wins Women’s Sweep Points at Huron River Sprints

The Crew continued the spring 2026 season racing this past weekend at the Huron River Sprints in Milford, MI. The Jaguars raced against a field of 36 teams from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. 

SJA had 11 entries spread across 8 events. Despite very challenging weather conditions (cold temperatures, heavy rain, and wind), the team had a strong performance advancing all 11 boats to the finals. The Jaguars won the Women’s Sweep Team Points Trophy. 

Gold Medal Crews:

Junior 4+: Mary Metallinos ‘28, Stella Becher ‘27, Brigid Savage ‘27, Hadley Baskinski ‘28, and coxswain Jenna Alaedeen ‘27. 

Novice 4+: Riley Delvecchio ‘29, Madeleine Semersky ‘29, Ari Dade ‘29, Caroline Policard ‘29, and coxswain Tristen Rolda ‘28. 

Varsity 8+: 2nd

Second Varsity 8+: 3rd

Third Varsity 8+: 3rd

Novice 8+: 5th

Varsity 4+: 2nd

Junior 4+: 1st, 5th, & 6th

Novice 4+: 1st

Junior 8+: 2nd & 6th

The Jaguars travel to Orchard Lake St. Mary’s for the Laddie Cup Regatta on Saturday, May 2nd.
