Saint Joseph Academy Names Christina Actis as Strength and Conditioning Coordinator

The Saint Joseph Academy Athletic Department is excited to announce that Mrs. Christina Actis has been named the new Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Jaguar Athletics. Mrs. Actis currently serves as a health and physical education teacher at Saint Joseph Academy and will continue in that role while assuming her new responsibilities. Mrs. Actis brings more than 20 years of experience in physical education, coaching, and fitness training. She is a former multi-sport athlete and collegiate volleyball player. Her professional credentials include certifications as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. She also holds certifications in TRX Suspension Training and Precision Nutrition Level 1 and has earned certificates in Pilates, Barre, Kettlebell, and Indoor Cycling instruction. In addition to working with Saint Joseph Academy students, Mrs. Actis has trained other high school athletes and served as a U.S. Navy Fitness Specialist, where she trained recruits. She is currently pursuing her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. “I am passionate about helping students build confidence in the weight room, improve athletic performance, develop lifelong fitness habits, learn proper strength-training and injury-prevention techniques, and create a positive and supportive team culture,” said Mrs. Actis.
