Daniel Oldfield to Serve as Next Head Crew Coach at Saint Joseph Academy

Saint Joseph Academy Athletics is excited to welcome Mr. Daniel Oldfield as our new Head Crew Coach.

Coach Oldfield has been an integral part of the SJA Crew program for the past four years, serving as an assistant coach and helping our student-athletes grow both on and off the water. His passion for rowing, commitment to our students and appreciation for the tradition of SJA Crew make him a great choice to lead the program into its next chapter.

Coach Oldfield brings decades of rowing experience as both an athlete and coach. His rowing career includes competing at the junior, collegiate, and masters levels, highlighted by rowing for the University of Cambridge's lightweight crew and winning the 1995 Men's Lightweight Boat Race against Oxford University. He has remained active in the Cleveland rowing community as a masters rower, coach and team captain.

As we thank Coach Rob Z. for his many years of leadership and dedication, we are excited for a smooth transition under Coach Oldfield's leadership. His familiarity with the program, relationships with our student-athletes and coaches, and vision for the future will help continue the tradition of excellence that defines SJA Crew.
