Jaguar Track and Field Wins District, Breaks Records at Regionals, Qualifies 6 for State Meet

The Saint Joseph Academy Track and Field team secured a OHSAA District Championship on Friday, May 22nd at Amherst Steele High School. District finalists include:

- Ava Reed '26 - 100H, 4x200mR, 300H, 4x400mR

- Martina Maline '26 - 100H

- Joelle Puni '27 - 100m, 200m

- Leah Corrigan - 100m, 4x100mR, 200m

- Olivia Jennings '28 - 4x800mR, 4x200mR, 4x100mR

- Sylvia Mittendorf '27 - 4x200mR, 4x100mR

- Nia French '27 - 4x200mR, 400m, 4x400mR

- Bridie Hyland '26 - 400m, 4x400mR

- Olivia Newman '28 - 4x800mR, 800m

- Ella Schneider '27 - 4x800mR, 4x400mR

- Cionnie Broadus '28 - 4x100mR

- Avery Stives '27 - 4x800mR, 3200m

Of these finalists, the Jaguars brought home the following district championships!

- Avery Stives '27 - 3200m District Champion

- Ava Reed '26 - 100H District Champion, 300H District Champion

- Joelle Puni '27 - 100m District Champion, 200m District Champion

- Hyland '26, French ;27, Mittendorf '27, Reed '26 - 4x200m Relay District Champions

- Hyland '26, French '27, Jennings '28, Reed '26 - 4x400m Relay District Champions

The team advanced to the OHSAA Regional Meet at North Royalton High School last week. During Friday's finals, the following school records were broken:

- Ava Reed '26 - 100m Hurdles, 15.24s

- Ava Reed '26 - 300m Hurdles, 44.64s

- Joelle Puni '27 - 200m Dash, 24.92s

The following members of the Jaguar Track and Field team have qualified for the 2026 OHSAA DII State Championship Meet, coming up this weekend at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium:
