Jaguars Claim 1st at NEOITC Black Division Meet #2

Saint Joseph Academy Indoor Track & Field turned in a dominant showing at the NEOITC Black Division Series Meet #2 at SPIRE, capturing 1st place overall out of 11 teams behind a wave of podium performances.
Mary Dial '26 led the way in the throws, winning the shot put (29’6”) and the weight throw (25’10”), with strong support from Kat Murray '29 (2nd, 23’0”), Cristina Carson '27 (3rd, 22’4”), and Abby Fogarty '26 (4th, 22’2”) in the weight throw. Ava Reed '26 delivered a standout sprint double, taking first in the 400 dash (1:00.67) and finishing second in the 60 hurdles (9.77 *School Record*). Leah Corrigan '28 added multiple podium finishes with a second-place run in the 60 dash (8.25) and a third-place effort in the long jump (14’2½”), while also placing fourth in the high jump alongside a fifth-place finish from Grace Litten '29. Olivia Newman '28 earned second in the 800 run (2:32.24), and the 4x800 relay team of E. Mittendorf '28, Palleschi '28, Lanese '26, and Langer '29 rounded out the scoring with a third-place finish (11:50.32).
The Jaguars’ depth across sprints, distance, jumps, and throws powered a complete team performance and a well-earned meet title.
